BALDR: GODS

OLD GODS:
Most of the gods of old Earth died shortly before or during the Great Schism. Some believe that it was the death of so many gods which caused or allowed the destruction of old Earth. Whatever the truth of the Great Schism's cause, few doubt that many of the surviving gods provided vital help which allows humanity to endure among the fragmented realms. These remaining gods of old Earth are known as the Old Gods. Baldr is an Old God.

NEW GODS:
In the new world order, wizards with both great ambition and power seek to become gods. Those wizards who ascend to godhood after the Great Schism are called the New Gods by some. Unlike the Old Gods, however, the New Gods can lose their godhood if they do not tend to their followers.
